MEET OUR STAFF
The expertly trained staff of the Salame Heart and Vascular Clinic is dedicated to treating our patients with the highest level of care.
Cristin Prater is a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in Acute Adult-Gerontology. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University in 2009 and spent the next seven years working at Gadsden Regional Medical Center as a Registered Nurse working with a wide variety of critically ill patients including those recovering from thoracic and vascular surgery. She was also honored to serve as a critical care preceptor for the Nursing program at Jacksonville State University, training soon-to-be nurses how to perform skills required in the field. She subsequently was accepted to the Master’s program at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her studies in 2016. While in the program, she completed hundreds of clinical hours training with Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Pulmonology. She has had the pleasure to work with Dr. Salame and his staff since her graduation in 2016, and she looks forward to continuing to provide specialized care for the people of Alabama.
